The Full Moon in May is known as the Flower Moon. Other names include the Planting Moon, and the Milk Moon, while some named it the Hare Moon.
On May 15–16, 2022, the Flower Moon was totally eclipsed and turn red!
This eclipse is the third in an “almost tetrad”—a series of four big lunar eclipses in two years. Three of these eclipses are total, while one of them, in November 2021, was a deep partial eclipse. So deep that it was almost a total eclipse.
