This is the second test of the side-draft forge hood I first showed in this video: [ Ссылка ]. I've reduced the height of the opening and given it an arched shape (the arch is held on here with magnets but has since been welded on) and added a gasket that seals up the gap between the hood and the flue.
As before, I lit a piece of newspaper in the hood itself and then lit a brown paper bag to simulate the smokiness of lighting a coal fire.
I think this is a good improvement, and I'm looking forward to actually firing it up for real.
