Sit back, relax and enjoy my longplay of The Simpsons: Hit and Run for the GameCube. There are many like it, but this one is mine!
The Simpsons: Hit and Run is a 2003 action-adventure game developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Vivendi Universal Games for GameCube, PS2, Xbox and Microsoft Windows. This longplay is of the GameCube version. The game is a love letter to the show it's based on and has the famous family (along with Apu) uncovering a conspiracy that threatens to destroy the town of Springfield and, if not stopped, the world.

This is the third longplay of a "series" consisting of the first games I remember playing at my brother's house on the PS2 before I ever got my own console. The Simpsons: Hit and Run is a classic game beloved by many and a staple of many childhoods. I, however, wasn't allowed to watch The Simpsons nor play the game growing up and as such, my only experiences with the show were brief instances at my brother's house and later on when I was able to play the game at a friend's house. This longplay was actually the first time I ever finished the game and I was really surprised with the difficulty the later levels provided. While I still enjoyed the game, I feel that the harsh time limits really took away from the enjoyment of spending time with these iconic characters. The game is saved, however, by it's incredible attention to detail and the charm captured by the game's atmosphere and characters, who feel as though they have been ripped straight from the show.
This game was played on the Dolphin Emulator, while the gameplay usually meets a buttery 60FPS there are many times when the framerate drops and the audio distorts. I heavily apologize in advance for this and hope it doesn't take away too much from your viewing experience
