In today's Highlight Reel, we revisit a highlight from a previous video we published with bespoke shoemaker Dominic Casey about a pair of Wellington Riding Boots Kirby has commissioned. Dominic uses a measuring form from 1810 to guide him through the lost art of Wellington bootmaking!
Through a personal interest in vintage Wellington Boots, Dominic Casey has spent years studying the unique techniques from over 100 years ago with which these boots were made. Lost to time, Dominic has had to reverse engineer many of the highly-specialized techniques bootmakers used to make a proper pair of Wellington Boots.
