INGREDIENTS
- 1 oz WhistlePig Whiskey
- 1 oz Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup
- Traeger Pork & Poultry Rub
- 1 lb Thick Cut Bacon
When ready to cook, set the Traeger temperature to 275℉ and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes. Mix the whiskey and the maple syrup together in a bowl. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Lay the bacon strips in a single layer on the wire rack. Using a pastry brush, brush each strip of bacon with liquid mixture, then generously season with the rub.
Place the baking sheet on the grill grates. Close the lid and cook, flipping the bacon occasionally, until it browns and crisps, 60-75 minutes. Remove the bacon from the grill and let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
