Last week we had a chance to work on a failed Kingston Datatraveler 111. This USB flash drive data recovery procedure was performed right away due to high urgency of the content trapped on it.

Right away after looking at his flash drive we noticed that connector felt to be loose. As oppose to regular USB connector with 4 pins Kingston Datatraveler 111 has a USB 3.0 connector that has 9 pins. Upon close review of the connection pins we were able to determine that the USB drive was not getting recognized due to lost connections to most of the pad on the connector.

HDD Recovery Services was able to solder up all of the broken pins and repair all of the connections. Shortly after we were transferring recovered data to a brand new flash drive and sent it back to the customer that very same day.
