A pal of mine has very generously let me borrow his 2013 Ralph Bown OM guitar, spruce over Amazon Rosewood. I was blown away when I first heard it so I jumped at the chance - the only guitar I really regret selling was a Ralph Bown OM like this.
My mate is a John Renbourn fan and John Renbourn uses a Bown OM so it seemed aposite for me to learn a Renbourn piece while babysitting this guitar. Renborn's arrangement of O'Carolan's "Lamentation of Owen Roe O'Neill" appears on his "Hermit" album and I've been meaning to learn this great arrangement for many, many years.
Tuning is a bit odd:
