This is J. S. Bach's Little Prelude No. 2 in C-minor, BWV 934 (ca. 1720).
Following the performance, I discuss some of the interpretative decisions made as well as suggestions for effective practicing. (Please excuse my bright lighting, I am trying to figure these things out!)
Little Prelude No. 2: 0:00
Practice Tips: 1:22
Note: In the video, I called this piece a "dance" however, it's not literally a dance as it's titled, "Prelude" and not "Minuet". However, it is written in a 2-part binary form and resembles the types of dance movements Bach was known for and so I can't help but think of these little preludes in this way. 😀
