For this project, I used an angle grinder, a Dremel, and lots of sandpaper to carve a Douglas Fir 12"x30"x1.5" board to look like sand dunes or wind-blown sand and I love how it turned out!
My design was inspired by @nugeandwood and the orange/red sands of northern Arizona and southern Utah where I grew up.
