Patient monitors range from low acuity, used by nurses and general practitioners to test the vital signs of generally healthy patients, to high acuity, used in the ICU to test for degraded conditions. Choose your patient simulator based on the patient monitor you'll be testing. Look at the side or back of your patient monitor to see which connections are available. Low acuity patient monitors will test SpO2, ECG, NIBP and temperature. High acuity monitors will also test more invasive parameters, such as cardiac output and invasive blood pressure.
