Possibly the most highly anticipated event of 2024, a short trip to the Isle of Purbeck for Strictly Bulleid 2 on the Swanage Railway. Oliver Bullied's legacy lives on as 8 Bulleid Pacifics took over the Dorset Railway. These included 34070 'Manston', 34028 'Eddystone', 34092 'City of Wells', 34081 '92 Squadron', 34053 Sir Keith Park, 34072 '257 Squadron', 35018 'British India Line' & 35006 'Peninsular & Oriental S.N. Co. The day started well, but after 92 Squadron failed, some sort of infrastructure failure at Norden, and a passenger taken sick at Corfe Castle, the timetable was written off beyond repair, leading to a mismatch with trains and locomotives. Whilst at Swanage later in the day, the route planners and operations team were doing everything they could to try and sort out the delays. Other than that, this was an excellent event!
