I've received quite a few questions reguarding dust filters on game consoles and whether they help or cause overheating. I decided to find out by putting them on a PS4 slim to see if they caused it to overheat.
I played the console for an hour first and checked the temperature, then installed the filters and played for another hour, then compared the temperature readings.
After completing this test I found that these filters did not cause overheating and in fact didn't even cause the temperature rise.
