The Russian rouble has seen some mild recovery after falling to a 15-month low earlier on Monday.

It comes after an attempted armed mutiny in Russia by Wagner mercenaries which showed "real cracks" in President Vladimir Putin's authority, America's top diplomat Antony Blinken said.

Russia's prime minister has said that the rebellion has been “a challenge” to Russia’s “stability” and that people should unite behind President Putin.
