STORYLINE:
French President Nicolas Sarkozy said in January that his relationship with model-turned-singer Carla Bruni was serious and suggested that wedding plans could be in the works.
"There is a strong chance that you will learn about it after it's already done," he said at a news conference in Paris.
They married on February 2nd in a private ceremony at Paris's �lys�e Palace. The couple refused to issue an official wedding portrait and instead invited photographers to pursue them on a stroll through the park after spending the night at Versailles.
In March a picture of the French President's new wife posing naked is to be auctioned and it was that picture that appeared in almost every British newspaper.
The image was taken by photographer Michel Comte in 1993, when Bruni was one of the world's most coveted models.
The photo was expected fetch 3,000 - 4,000 US dollars at the auction. It eventually sold for $91,000.
