Professional footballer, Karim Benzema, who played for Spain’s Real Madrid and France internationally, said that one of the key reasons for his recently announced transfer to Saudi side Al-Ittihad was his desire to live in a Muslim country.
The 35-year-old striker is said to have signed a two-year contract with Al-Ittihad, earning €200m euros per year with an option of adding a third year.
He will be facing former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League, who transferred to Saudi’s Al Nassr at the start of the year
