How to Save Lettuce Seeds
(crazy we already have over 20 videos!) our first video on how to save seeds.
Seed saving is something we have been doing since we started gardening back in 2008. For us planning out the whole gardening process from selecting varieties, to planting, harvesting and finally how to save seeds has been very important.
This video shares our steps on how to save lettuce seeds, which though not the easiest vegetable to save seeds from are certainly one of the easier species. As we mention in the video we only maintain two (2) varieties of lettuce in our gardens. This just simplifies the seed saving process for us and is a theme you will see again in pretty much everything we do. We like to focus on fewer things but try to do each the best we can.
I also mentioned in the video that there are a lot of resources available to help gardeners with saving seeds. I mentioned the Seed Saver's Exchange website info for saving lettuce seeds in the video and this website is available here: [ Ссылка ]
Anyways seeds saving dose not have to be a daunting task and if you start your gardening plans with the mindset that seed saving is important and incorporate that into how you select varieties and plan your garden layout each year, it will quickly become another normal part of your yearly garden plans and harvest (yes seeds are another valuable harvest from the garden!).
Anyways hopefully you find this interesting and also informative!
Thanks for watching!
