Hi friends, this is Azusa!
Shimane prefecture is located in western part of Japan. Hamada is a little port town in Shimane where I grew up.
Besides going to the beach and hiking around the area, there are 5 places you can take your kiddos to have some fun. As a bonus, I added a restaurant you must try.
If you plan traveling Japan, and want to try a different city you have never been to, consider taking a flight or a train from the city to come and explore Shimane. If you are traveling with kids, these are the places your kids will enjoy as well as yourself.
