The chant was recorded in my home studio where I performed all 8 vocal tracks.

I highly recommend listening to this chant through head phones or ear buds.
The Tashi Prayer - also called the Verses of the Eight Auspicious Ones - is a condensation of the Sutra of the Words of Auspiciousness taught by the Shakyamuni Buddha. Written by 19th Century Tibetan Yogi Kenchen Mipham, this shorter version was created as a more practical way of engaging in this historically lengthy practice. "The purpose of the prayer is to pay homage to and supplicate four kinds of awakened beings (Buddhas, Male Bodhisattvas, Female Bodhisattvas and Protectors) so as to receive their blessings for both spiritual and worldly success." For a complete teaching on this practice please see Bardor Tulku Rinpoche's "A Teaching on the Tashi Prayer". The Eight Auspicious Symbols seen above the Pecha text of this video is from a picture I took of the Green Tara Sand Mandala that monks from Drepung Loseling Monastery created here in Jacksonville, Florida in 2004. The spiral image in the center is from one their traditional drums. The chant was recorded in my home studio where I performed all 6 vocal tracks. I hope you enjoy this powerful and efficacious Prayer....feel free to chant along!
