Many families in Gibraltar have friends and relatives in Manchester, which is also a popular choice for University among local students and last night many took to social media to check that everyone was accounted for.
We spoke to Manchester University students Mark Montegriffo and Simon Dumas earlier on today. Simon lives very close to the arena and his brother, who was at home at the time, called him just after the explosion.
