The most intense street fighting in decades has broke out in Beirut, Lebanon, blamed largely on violent protests incited by Islamist group Hezbollah as they try to stifle an investigation into last years port blast that killed over 200 people.
The armed exchange is being described as Muslim against Christian and is comprised of small arms, rocket propelled grenades, and possibly even mortar "projectiles." At least six people have been reportedly killed in the fighting, with an additional sixty injured.
Lebanon is in a state of crisis as tensions are already high from an ongoing fuel shortage that has lead to electrical blackouts across the country. Although Iran has delivered fuel to ease the crisis, there is not enough diesel to keep the electric generators running.
