Clarithromycin 500 mg what is it used for hindi | Treatment of Pneumonia and Lungs infection
In this video you'll know about Clarithromycin Tablets which is a macrolide antibiotic with broad
spectrum of activity.

Clarithromycin is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.

It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Indications:
URTI: pharyngitis and sinusitis
LRTI: bronchitis & pneumonia
Skin & soft tissue infection

Dosage :
Adults : 250 mg twice daily for 5 - 14 days, can be increased to 500mg for severe infection

Contraindication:
Hypersensitivity
Lactation and pregnancy
Take Precaution in First trimester of Pregnancy
Paediatrics: Don't use in children less than 6 months
Pregnancy: Contraindicated
Lactation: Safety not established
Renal Problem

Side Effects :
Abnormal Taste
Nausea & vomitting
Diarrhoea
Abdominal Pain
Dyspepsia
