Let us see 2 recipes prepared from wood apple
wood apple is very nutritious fruit
wood apple has combination of sweet,sour taste
It is seasonal fruit .so Make use of it when you get
it has immunity boosting properties
It improves appetite
Rich in iron and calcium
It cures menstrual problems,Good for skin

Break it like coconut
Wood apple has flesh inside the hard outer cover
scoop out the flesh and check it
I am using 1/2 fruit for rasam and another 1/2
for juice
1inch tamarind for wood apple rasam
extract tamarind extract
mash 1 tomato along with tamarind extract
1cup cooked toor dal
mash 1/2 fruit flesh and add water to it
small seeds will be present.That doesn't matter
add wood apple fruit mix to rasam
1tbs zeera
3/4 tbs pepper
5 garlic cloves
grind it
few curry leaf
add to rasam
add water till you get rasam
consistency
turmeric 1/4tsp
chilly powder 1/2tsp
salt as needed
mix well and check salt
keep the rasam in sim flame
till you see froth
let us do tempering and add to rasam
1tsp oil
mustard ,urad dal 1/4tsp
fenugreek seeds 1/4tsp
one shallot
some curry leaf
1/4tsp hing
1 redchilly
add to rasam
Wood apple rasam is ready
when it gets frothy on top
garnish with some coriander leaf
lets see wood apple juice
mash 1/2wood apple flesh and add to mixie
1cup milk
or coconut milk
grind it.this juice gives you instant energy
3tsp powdered jaggery
grind it smooth and serve
