In this English grammar lesson I'm going to teach you about the words "wanna" and "gonna" (and also "gotta"). These are shortened versions of "want to" and "going to" and native speakers use them all the time. Instead of saying, "I want to go to the shops later", most native English speakers will instead say, "I wanna go to the shops later." This improves the rhythm of the sentence and allows speakers to speak faster. 'Going to' also is reduced to "gonna", as in, "I'm gonna go shopping at 6pm" often used for future plans. These are very rarely used in written English so make sure you stick to 'going to' and 'want to' if you are writing.
Using "wanna" and "gonna" in spoken English will help you to sound more natural and improve your overall fluency which may help you score higher in English tests like the IELTS test.
