"FLYING SPUR
The Flying Spur is the quintessential luxury sedan. A study in craftsmanship and contemporary design, it delivers the ultimate passenger experience. Yet looks can be deceiving. Because the Flying Spur holds a secret up its sleeve – or under its superformed bonnet, to be precise. Whether you choose the phenomenal 6.0 litre W12 engine or the dynamic 4.0 litre V8 engine, you can expect performance unlike that of any other car in its class. Because this is a driver’s car too; a place where exhilaration and refinement meet, whether you choose to sit behind the wheel or behind the front seats.
CAPTIVATING FROM THE OUTSET
Style meets substance in a four-door grand tourer that exudes road presence. Sleek lines and perfectly balanced proportions come together in a sculpted form finished with eye-catching, handcrafted details. Choose the 6.0 litre W12 engine and your car will be distinguished by 21” twin ten-spoke bright painted wheels, plus the opportunity to add an illuminated, electrically-deployed Flying B bonnet mascot. Opt instead for the 4.0 litre V8 engine and different details will identify your choice, from the Quad Oval Tailpipes to the gleaming V8 badging. Whichever powertrain you choose, the gloss-painted brake calipers can be commissioned in the standard black or an optional bright red, according to your taste.
INTERIOR PERFECTION
Whether you drive the car yourself or you prefer to be driven, the cabin of the Flying Spur is a cocoon of luxury. A ring of Crown Cut Walnut veneer is fitted as standard, its continuous warm grain running seamlessly from the fascia into the doors, for an incredible sense of space. Handstitched leather seats feature a unique twin flute design, combining comfort with unquestionable style. And the closer you look, the more you see. This is a cabin filled with handcrafted details that continue to surprise, such as the sculpted air vents reminiscent of the Bentley ‘B’. A wide, floating console runs through the centre of the car, from the dashboard to the armchair-style rear seats, unifying the front and the rear.
TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN
The Flying Spur’s unrivalled performance can be considered a tale of two powertrains. On the one hand, there is the engine for which Bentley has become famous – the smooth and supremely powerful 6.0 litre, twin-turbocharged W12. On the other is a racetrack-proven 4.0 litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine, complete with its inimitable V8 roar.
THE LUXURY OF POWER
The 6.0 litre W12 engine can propel the Flying Spur from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds (0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds) – performance literally unheard of in the world of the luxury sedan. Its maximum speed is an incredible 207 mph (333 km/h). The 4.0 litre V8 engine is naturally a lighter unit. While slightly less powerful, its reduced weight offers benefits in kind, most notably in agility and acceleration – resulting in a top speed of 198 mph (318 km/h) and the ability to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.0 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds). Coupled with the V8 exhaust note that so many drivers love, it lends the car an arguably more exuberant character. Whichever configuration you select, you can expect a truly unique fusion of refinement and extreme performance. Luxury has never been so exhilarating.
ABSOLUTE COMFORT AND CONTROL
With four driving modes available at the turn of a dial, you can optimise performance to suit your needs. You can choose between Comfort, Sport, Bentley and Custom. Sport mode maximises dynamic response, while Comfort mode ensures luxurious cruising, even on bumpy city streets. Bentley mode offers the perfect balance between the two and Custom allows you to configure your own combination of settings. But driving is not just about the way the car feels – it is about the way it sounds, too. That’s why the Flying Spur’s exhaust system features Adaptive Valve Control, offering a more aggressive auditory experience in Sport mode, or a gentler, more discrete murmur when cruising in Comfort mode.
STABILITY WITHOUT COMPROMISE
Bentley Dynamic Ride is a groundbreaking electronic anti-roll system. Fitted as standard with the W12 configuration, it can be added as an option to the V8."
