What's the best pet / Dog friendly hotel near Whitby? While looking for Places to stay near WHITBY, we found The STABLES, a small 4 star hotel, just 2 miles from the seaside town of Whitby, North Yorkshire.

The Stables is a former 17th-century farmhouse, located on the edge of the North York Moors and the seaside town of Whitby. Know for it's fishing and Whaleling heritage, Whitby Abbey, Captain James Cook and Bram Stokers Dracula is an excellent place to stay either with or without a Dog.

The Stables Hotel has a number stables-turned-rooms. Our room (room 2) is a ground floor standard double room with stone floors, modern amenities, a comfy bed and a pleasing bathroom with shower. Other rooms available have mezzanine levels, separate sitting area's and sweeping views across the idyllic countryside to the moors beyond

The Stables is an ideal place to stay when exploring Whitby, maybe attending Whitby Goth Weekend or visiting other seaside towns such as Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough, or even taking a trip to flamingo land!

We found Whitby to be very pet friendly, with most places accessible including the beach between 1s October to the 30th April.

If you visit Whitby in the summer months, On the east side of the town is the smaller 'Tate Hill' beach that allows dogs all year round. On the other side of West Pier is West Cliff, a larger sandy beach with colourful beach huts, deckchair and windbreak hire, a children's paddling pool and donkey rides.
