As part of the NBA’s commitment to My Brother’s Keeper, the Warriors Community Foundation hosted middle and high school students from Oakland for a “Beyond Basketball” workshop at Oracle Arena. Center Festus Ezeli, Forward Harrison Barnes, and Forward Marreese Speights spent the evening exploring how technology improves team performance. Video Coordinator Theo Robertson, Basketball Analytics Coordinator Sammy Gelfand, and partners also lent their expertise to share a range of technology-based opportunities in sports. Participating community groups included The Hidden Genius Project, East Bay College Fund, OUSD AAMA, SPAAT, East Oakland Youth Development Center, Alternatives in Action, and Big Brothers & Big Sisters of the Bay Area.
