The Flood (1963) - 60th Anniversary Edition [HD]
A Fenland story of trial by weather inspired by the floods of 1947, the film revolves around how a group of children cope when trapped on farmhouse land surrounded by flood waters after extreme weather causes the riverbanks to burst.
Now on an 'island', cut off from the mainland, the children and their parents must find a way to reach each other.
Filmed on location in the Fens with some shots local to Ely and Wisbech.
Upscaled to 1080p High Definition and with additional audio / visual enhancements by Fenland on Film.
Regrettably the music used in the original was under copyright license so we've had to make a very small number of changes - the music we've used in it's place is in keeping with the original tone and style.
