It's been widely assumed that the real enemy in Godzilla vs. Kong won't be the unleashed destruction of either of the Great Beasts, but Mechagodzilla in disguise to frame the King of the Monsters for reasons still unclear. A few brief images from the trailer have already strongly hinted at the robotic doppelgänger's presence, but thanks to this photo we now have what appears to be our best look yet at the potential antagonist. If correct, then Mechagodzilla's image suggests a much more sophisticated creation than the heavy metal beast from the '70s movies, and certainly looks like a dangerous foe to have. Thorns could slice through metal, and a shell could take more hits than the two titular Titans combined. Despite growing clues that Godzilla vs. Kong will feature Mechagodzilla, no official word on the matter will be heard until he is clearly seen making his way through the screen in the full film.
