I grew up in Bavaria and here is how I was taught to knit Bavarian twisted stitches.
If you don't know how to knit twisted stitches (knit through the back loop) yet, here's my tutorial: [ Ссылка ]
Basically, Bavarian twisted stitches are nothing but 1x1 twisted cables knit without a cable needle. You more or less drop the stitches and rearrange them by slipping them on the left needle in a different order.
Step 1: Insert the right needle into the back of the second stitch on the left needle
Step 2: Drop the first stitch
Step 3: Pick up the dropped with the left needle
Step 4: Slip the stitch from the right needle back to the left
Step 5: Ktbl and purl
Some tutorials will teach you to knit these traveling twisted stitches without dropping by inserting the needle in between the gap between two stitches from behind and bringing the loop to the front that way. That's certainly a way to knit cables, but not a good idea for Bavarian twisted stitches. The results will look way too loose and wonky.
