My guild was talking about using a different voice chat. We have been using Vent, but I think it may be time to move on, and my choice is RaidCall.

Here's why.

1: Space. RaidCall let's you have 50 people to a room, right now our Vent server is maxed at 25.
2: Quality. When our guild leader first brought it up to us a bunch of us tried it and right off the bat we saw a noticeable jump in audio quality.
3: Overlay. I know Vent has one, but the RaidCall one is way better. It is smaller first of all, and it can be expanded to chose what room you want to go to while still in game. No more tabbing out! The overlay also let's you see who is talking and is smart enough to know what toon the person is on to boot! No more wondering who said what!
4: Free! You get three (50 man each) rooms. In fact, each RaidCall user is at this time able to have 3 free rooms. I'm sure in the future that'll change, but people who get them now get to keep them free.

There is something to be said about "if it ain't broke don't fix it", but at the same time there is also something to be said about passing by new opportunity.
