Producer Bruce Geller hired composer Lalo Schifrin to create the theme song for the 1960s television series Mission: Impossible, on which the current Tom Cruise movie franchise is based.
Did you know that the "Mission: Impossible" theme's amazing 5/4 rhythm is derived from the Morse code for "M:I" (dash, dash, dot-dot)? Additionally, our irrational perception of our own DNA's structure is the source of Morse code.
In this video, you'll see an amazing live performance of this theme in the night of the film music, at Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam.
Watch till the end for a surprise!
