The Colo-EASIE 2 is a new simulation model for interventional colonoscopy that uses real ex-vivo tissue (porcine or bovine). The shape of the simulator arranges the specimen in the correct anatomical position of a human colon. The use of real tissue has the advantage of simulation correct haptics and the ability to use commercially available endoscopic instruments.
