To start clicker training your horse, you'll need a bridge marker (can be a tongue click, a box clicker, the word "yes," etc), treats that will motivate your horse to participate, and a container to hold your treats in. When clicker training new behaviors, it's best to train in small, frequent sessions. For example, I usually work with my horse for about 5-7 minutes, then give him a 5-10 minute break, then have another 5-7 minute session, and so on. Also, teach yourself discipline, so you don't get caught up in all your small successes and continue to ask too much of your horse in one day. It's best to only teach one thing at a time, and reinforce it many many times before moving on to make the behavior more complex, or to teach a new behavior.
The lessons in this video will likely need to be taught over the course of a few days or even weeks, depending on how fast your horse catches on to the game. Patience is key, usually the more patient you are, ironically the faster your horse progresses!
