Northern Velebit National Park is the most stunning section of trail I have hiked yet in Croatia! It took me 2 days to hike from the information centre to Baske Ostarije. I was having the best time, the entire time!

This route is a popular hut to hut route in Croatia. You can stay at rustic unmanned huts, or at nicer huts with the ability to rent a bed, and buy food and drinks. I was happy to have a beer at Mountain Hut Alan.
