My two days trip to sunny Sandefjord in Norway. As you all know I'm a chef and I love adventures and camping in nature, so this time my plan was to catch a big fish and find a lot of seafood, but I guess I'm not the only one... I caught only one big enough fish to eat. Found some mussels, and kept them in fresh water for two hours to wash the sand from inside before using them. Also it's possible to open shelve just a bit and try to wash out the sand. Mussels from the rocks usually contain less or no sand inside. Oysters is the easiest, you can eat straight from water, just adding some lemon or lime if you want.
To make sure that mussels and oysters are good to eat in that area I use ''Blåskjell'' app on my phone, it shows green or red indicators for specific areas. If it’s green it means it’s safe to eat.
Eggs and asparagus I bought from local farmers, because most of the stores are closed Sunday in Norway.
If you have questions I will answer all of them.
