In order to stay on track for net-zero emissions goals, methane emissions from oil and gas must be brought to near-zero by the end of this decade. As decision makers descend on Dubai for the United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as #COP28, one area where an immediate difference could be made is in cutting methane emissions. Atlantic Council Global Energy Center’s Senior Director Landon Derentz and Assistant Director William Tobin joined Mark Davis, the chief executive officer and founder of Capterio, and journalist Angeli Mehta on November 30 for a conversation about what action should come out of COP about methane.
