She is Capt Laxmi Sehgal the commander of the women's Regiment in the Indian National Army who rallied behind Subhash Chandra Bose during the freedom struggle. She reminisces her encounters and her journey as a freedom fighter and on the death of Subhas Chandra Bose.
Laxmi Sehgal: "The great advantage in this movie is that Burma hasn't changed much since those days. Especially those jungle areas and the banks of the Irrawaddy where the INA did a lot of action. Those places are practically the same so it was very easy to reconstruct all of it. In Singapore, I was there when Netaji came and when he gave the call for the INA to be increased and civilians be recruited and Arabic meeting that he had on that Padang Maidan. Then I was a member of Netaji's government so there's City Hall where the swearing in ceremony happens. That is still there."
