In 2023, The Regeneration Center offers an Acute Liver failure treatment program using non-invasive regenerative medical techniques for patients of Multiple Organ Dysfunctions. Therapies including Hepatocyte cell replacement therapy for patients diagnosed with liver disease and liver cirrhosis. A normal liver will regenerate itself through the division of mature liver cells called hepatocytes. For patients with chronic liver disease this capacity is no longer an option and require stem cell transplants to regenerate the liver with oval cells, HPC’s Hepatic Progenitor Cells. liver cirrhosis stem cell treatment requires hepatocyte cells which are vital for a properly functioning liver since they perform most metabolic functions. Hepatocytes secrete glucose and other proteins into our blood and bile.  Our Bile gets stored in our gall bladders and is critical for fat absorption and digestion. Other liver cell types including:

endothelial cells

Normally our liver is very strong organ but when it reaches ‘failure’, the damage affects many of our body's critical functions. If left untreated, men and women with liver failure often do not survive a year after the initial diagnosis. Please note we do not accept patients patients with critical stages as the damage will likely be beyond any stem cell treatment and may require total liver transplant.
