In this video, we explore the issue of water conservation and the role that sorghum plays in addressing it. Specifically, we discuss the declining water levels of the Ogallala Aquifer, a major water source for farms and communities in the central United States, and the impact that drought and volatile weather patterns are having on this critical resource. Through interviews with subject matter experts and farmers, we learn about the importance of growing drought-tolerant and resource-conserving crops like sorghum in order to conserve water and maintain a healthy and productive harvest.
