It’s been a few weeks since Rudniks first chiro adjustment so today she was back out for his follow up.
He didn’t need as much work done this time but it will be a few more follow up appointments before we can drop down to once a year. He’s not bad, just some minor alignment things we need to work on.
Because Rudnik was nearly 2 before he had his first full hoof trim, he did a lot of growing in that time so unfortunately he’s got a few things that need to be worked on.
We also went through multiple trial and errors with his hoof trimmings, from farriers who didn’t know how to handle him to farriers who would just hack away without trying to work with his hoof. This resulted in multiple instances of him going lame after trims until we finally found the amazing farrier we have now. She’s worked with us over the last year to get his hooves to where they should be.
It’s unfortunate that so many farriers trim hooves with a ‘one size fits all’ mentality. But now that we’ve gotten Rudnik’s heels grown out and back in good shape, we can start working on adjusting the rest of his body so he’s not over compensating anymore.
After his adjustment, he must have really been feeling good because he decided to head over and check out one of the girls - but it seems he’s still not over quite over the last time when they blatantly ignored his desperate attempts for them to notice him 😂
