The #3 & #4 injectors were removed after struggling with them for over an hour, but the #1 & #2 are in a tight spot behind the diesel pump and they refused to budge. The #2 injectors was actually unscrewing the nozzle's locking nut as I rotated it to the right. Without the slid-hammer tool in this video I would have had to removed the diesel pump and possible remove the head from the car to extract the injectors, and who knows how much damage I would have cause in the process.
The tool bought from MetalNerd.com (part#: MN1818)-TDI Injector Slide Hammer Puller (for ALH TDI 1996-2003)
My number #1 & #2 diesel injectors would not come out, no matter how hard I tried, I was happy to find out that MetalNerd had a solution to this problem for under $50(US). As you can see in the video it takes a lot of force, but it works. The car is a 2001 VW TDI Jetta with over 280k miles US. I plain to have KermaTDI install and calibrate 4 Bosio DLC 1019 (ULSD RATED) Next Generation Design injectors nozzles. This should take this 90HP diesel to 130HP and take it from 42mpg to 52mpg.
Discloser: I do not work for or with KermaTDI or MetalNerd and the VW in the video is due to be converted from Automatic 01M to 5-speed Manual 02J transmission over the next few weeks.
Let me know if you have any questions.
