Learn how to use marigolds and onion skins together (yes, really!) to create a Natural Dye on wool and cotton fiber. You can combine different dye materials in one dye pot if they both have a similar dye process. Marigolds and yellow onion skins both create a yellow dye. This makes them perfect dye partners if you don't have enough of one dye material for your WOF (weight of fiber). Animal fibers and plant fibers absorb dye differently, therefore the shade will vary even when they're dyed at the same time.
