Projects worth $3.2 billion are expected to create 168,000 jobs, according to CDC. Cambodian investors lead with 50.15%, followed by China with 42.64%. Investments primarily focus on the garment industry (51%), with significant projects including a $574 million hotel and business center in Preah Sihanouk, a $440 million hydropower plant in Koh Kong, and a $108 million multipurpose port in Kampong Chhnang. Additionally, four new special economic zones are planned, and there are notable expansions in existing zones. This marks an increase of 77 projects and $2 billion compared to the previous year.
