STEP BY STEP GUIDE
How to send an email in Gmail on your Google Android phone

STEP 1
I’ll start by opening the Gmail app on my Android phone
And you can see I’m in my email inbox.

STEP 2
To send any email message in Gmail
The first thing I want to do is open a new email compose page.
To do that, all I need to do is tap on the large Compose button in the bottom right of the inbox
This opens a blank email window.

STEP 3
In Gmail, the compose email page is made up of four separate parts

Firstly, we have the To section where you add the email address of the person you want to send the email to.
Next, we have the subject line. This is used to add a title to your email that should try to describe what it is about because this is what the email recipient will see when it arrives in their inbox.
Next up, we have the compose section of the email, and this is where we write the main information that you want to share in the email.
The last section of the email we’ll look at is the toolbar - this is the place where we can add attachments to the email and choose how we want to send it.

STEP 4
Returning to the To section
You’ll remember this is where we add the email address of the person we want to send our email to
If I start to type an email address you’ll see that some names are suggested by Gmail. If you have sent an email in the past or even if you have only received them, Gmail may remember the email address details that were used and recommend them to you.
TO choose one of the suggested names, all you need to do is tap on it and the name will be added to your email
If you don’t see the name you are looking for, you can just type the full email address you want to use and then press the blue return key on your keyboard to add it to the email.

STEP 5
If I tap on the down arrow on the right of the TO row
some extra options are shown.
I can also copy someone into this email, rather than send it directly to them.To do that, I need to add their email address to the CC row. The person I send the email to, will see that I have copied this person in on the email.
If I want to copy someone in on the email secretly, I should add their email address to the BCC row. Any email recipients added to this row will not be shown to anyone else that the email is sent to.

STEP 6
Moving on to the next part of the email, I’ll tap into the subject row and add a descriptive title that explains what the email is about

STEP 7
Next up, I’ll tap into the Compose part of the email.
Remember this is where we write what we want to say in the email

STEP 8
Once we are happy with that we can then move onto the toolbar.
In Gmail on the Android app, You can use the tool bar to attach any pictures or videos to your email by tapping the paperclip icon
To finally send my email, the arrow icon is used to confirm that you want to send the email so once you are happy with all of the content, all you need to do is press that icon once
Gmail will then return you to your inbox and confirm that the email has been sent.
