This performance demonstrates how J.S. Bach probably would have played Chopin's "Revolutionary" Etude if he were resurrected from 1750 and time traveled a century later to 1850 but was not influenced by 19th performance practice, especially with regards to tempo. My many years of my past research concludes that Bach's default or standard "Allegro" speed, at least 60% of the time, was 84 bpm. Therefore, this is how fast Bach probably would have played Chopin's etude according to Bach's own Baroque performance practice. For example, 84 bpm would have been Bach's ideal tempo for his Prelude 2 from WTC I, also in C minor like Chopin's "Revolutionary" Etude.
