This is my own out-of-the-box build of the Russian Missile Cruiser Admiral Lazarev Ex-Frunze from Trumpeter (04521) in 1:350. No additial photo etched parts were used.
Materials used:
- TAMIYA Grey Surface Primer (spray can)
- TAMIYA XF-7 + XF-9 for Hull Red
- TAMIYA XF-53 Neutral Grey as main color
- TAMIYA XF-2 Flat White for all white parts
- AK Interactive AK-707 Medium-Rust for the deck surfaces
- Vallejo Model Air 71.057 for black parts
- TAMIYA TS-79 Semi Gloss Clear spray was used to seal all the Tamiya paints
Some Revell Enamel Colors for all the small parts:
- Windows were painted with Revell 07 glossy black
- Small black detailes were painted with Revell 302 semi gloss black
Tamiya paints were applied with airbrush.
Revell colors were applied with paint brushes.
Before the beginning of the build I washed all plastic parts in slightly warm soapy water. The hull was treated with alcohol to remove any fat, so the primer can stick well.
