Bob visits the sprawling evening food market at Pratu Chang Phuak, or Chang Phuak Gate outside the moat in Chiang Mai. This market sets up every evening on Manee Nopparat Road outside the moat and opposite the northern gate of the old city. Primarily serving Thais looking for dinner after work or school, it has also become a favorite of tourists and expats alike looking for inexpensive street food in a central location. Some of the dishes available include, noodles of all varieties, Thai sausage, khao kha moo, or stewed pork leg over rice, fruit smoothies, freshly cooked waffles, fried rice, fried prawns whole roasted fish, hoy thawt or fried mussel omelet, and much much more.
