The Oklahoma Joe's Rider DLX pellet grill is a great cooker but there are a few problems. I created this video for anyone who is on the fence about whether to buy this grill.

This is not a video to bash on the cooker. Instead this video shows the few drawbacks I have found after several months of putting the smoker through a lot of use. The issues that I have run into include:
1. Power Button is Stuck
2. Throws a lot of pellet dust in Sear mode
3. Pellet hopper safety shield is too high.
4. Bottom cap is stuck
5. Leg nuts keep falling off

Some issues that other people have told me about:
Some folks report that the cast iron sear grate cracks at high temperatures.
Some folks are having issues with auger jams.

And hey...if you are on the fence then go ahead and buy the Rider DLX! I really love this grill because of its size, versatility and great looks. The sear zone on the OJ Rider DLX is a game changer and, once you learn to master the hot spot, will transform how you think about pellet grills.
