This is a very rare film of "it's a small world" at Disneyland in its very first year, 1966. This amazing film shows 30 seconds of the Clock Parade, and another 20 of the North Pole, Europe, and Finale rooms. There are several clips and each is very short, but that is understandable as this is from a 1960's 8mm film. The first few show the Clock Parade from the original queue, and many of the diverse children that parade around the tower every 15 minutes. There aren't many differences besides the original colors on the gears (1966-68), and clock face (1966-92), but the South American boy who usually is near the back of the line of children, was originally near the front. Then the clock shows the current time of day (12:30 here), taken from roughly today's exit into the toy shop. Next, the clips inside the ride begin with the Swedish and North Pole scenes and their audio, followed by the Europe rooms Scandinavia and Denmark scenes, also with their audio and nearby British vocals. Next is a very short clip of the 1966 Italy scene (Repainted 30 years later) and Italian vocals. The last couple of clips show the original 1966 Finale before any changes were made to the lighting and set pieces, besides a few smaller differences from the original 1964-65 World's Fair version. This film is one of the best I've seen from the very early years, as the lighting was initially changed somewhat around 1969 to presumably be somewhat darker than before, which made it much harder to pick up in most films for a while after that. The set pieces were repainted around 1978-79 and 2008, and the original vocals in this room were mixed with the British ones around a decade after that until the whole soundtrack was removed in 1993. However, in 2003 most of this classic audio was restored to this version of "it's a small world" where it plays to this day. I have mixed this with the source audio used in each section of the ride (Parts with multiple tracks were mixed together by me). Also, major thanks to all of my subscribers for helping me reach 1000! I hope you enjoy this rare film!
I do not own any of the video or audio used in this video. All audio is owned by Disney, and the video is owned by Anthony Giordano. Original video linked below.
