Okay, Pokemon---umm...make that Digimon Tamers. Here's the opening to the 2000 VHS of Digimon: The Movie I recently got at Goodwill.

Now, I first heard about Digimon after watching a commercial back in 1999. I wonder if it's a competitor to Pokemon. When I was in 5th Grade in recess, I was doing a Pokemon trading card battle with a friend of mine. I had a Bulbasaur card and then a friend of mine had a Agumon action figure. I was going "That's not a Pokemon!" He told me it's a Digital Monster: Digimon. He told me about Digital Monsters, so after school we both watch Digimon episodes. I compared it to Pokemon. After watching both series: Pokemon is better! You got Ash, Misty, Brock (the trio I grew up watching!) and Pikachu.

Then, in 2010 in fan-fic writing with @NickCMedia after he brought in Pokemon characters, he brought Digimon. I was going "Oh boy! It's Poke vs. Digi. Can you battle a Pokemon with a Digimon?" That was a long story.
